Dailies Studio vs a video production studioA day in a studio gives you videos. Your calls give you some every week.
A video production studio means a beautiful image, tuned lighting and sometimes someone behind the camera. It also means a blocked-out day, scripts to prepare and a lens to stare at. Dailies Studio tackles the problem from the other end: it records the calls you already hold with your clients and cuts captioned vertical shorts from them. The right choice depends on what you want to show: a perfect image, or you doing your job.

Choose Dailies Studio if
For anyone who wants to be seen every week, without blocking out a day or writing a script.
You already spend your weeks on calls with clients, on Meet, Teams or Zoom.
You want to post all year round, not in bursts after each shoot.
You are better answering a real question than facing a lens.

Choose a studio if
For a video that has to look flawless: a brand film, an advert, a recorded course.
You are preparing a flagship video that will sit at the top of your site for a long time.
You need several cameras, a set or a teleprompter.
You are at ease on camera and already know what you are going to say.

Cost per short
A fixed price a month, whatever the number of calls: the more you have, the less each short costs you. The sum is further down.
You pay for the hire, by the half-day or the day, often a technician, then the editing. What a short costs depends on how much you manage to shoot that day.
Your time
None on top: you hold the calls already in your diary. Your shorts are ready a few minutes after you hang up, and all that is left is to choose which ones you post.
The journey, the setup, the takes, and before all that the scripts to write. Half a day at least, plus the back and forth of editing.
The camera
You are not looking at a lens, you are answering someone. No text to recite, no take to redo.
You stand alone in front of the lens, under the lights, with lines to deliver. It is a craft of its own, and it is not yours.
Consistency
As long as you have calls, you have shorts, up to eight a call. It depends neither on your motivation nor on a shooting schedule.
In bursts: you post what you shot, then nothing until the next shoot, which you have to find the time to book.
What is on screen
You, answering a real client about a real problem. An answer you did not prepare: that is where you are most credible.
A flawless image, and a prepared speech. People see you presenting your trade, not practising it.
What a short costs you
To be seen on video every week, you either pay someone to make your videos or spend your own time on them. A personal-branding agency charges by the month, for a number of shorts fixed in the contract, and you still have to film. Dailies Studio starts from the calls you already hold: its price does not move, whether your calls give ten shorts or three hundred.

What a studio does better than Dailies Studio
The image, without question. A studio gives you a real camera, lighting set up for you, clean sound and a background of your choosing. Dailies Studio works with your webcam and your microphone, just as they are during your calls. A studio also lets you decide everything: the subject, the shot, the length, the number of takes. If you have one precise message to get across, word for word, that is where to shoot it. Dailies Studio only makes shorts, and only from what you said on a call.
What sets Dailies Studio apart from a studio
Where what you say comes from
In a studio, you arrive with a script, or you improvise to a lens. On a call, someone asks you a real question and you answer with a concrete case, without thinking about it. Dailies Studio keeps those passages: the ones that really share value. You are not creating content, you are documenting what you already do.
The time it takes you
A shoot has to be prepared, travelled to and edited. With Dailies Studio, you add nothing to your week: you hold the calls already planned, and your shorts are ready a few minutes after you hang up. 0 filming, 0 scripts, 0 editing. All that is left is to watch what comes out and choose what you post.
What happens after three months
A shoot gives you a stock of videos, and a stock runs out. To keep a rhythm, you have to go back to the studio, which means finding a day, ideas and the motivation again. With Dailies Studio, the stock refills itself: each call can give up to eight shorts, and you have calls every week.
What Dailies Studio does not do
A brand film, an advert, a long video, a two-camera shot: none of that. Dailies Studio only handles calls held in Chrome on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom, in French or in English, and it only cuts vertical shorts from them. The image is that of your webcam.
Questions people ask
Can a production studio and Dailies Studio work together?
Yes. A studio for the flagship video on your site, which you redo rarely. Dailies Studio for consistency: being seen every week, between two shoots, with what you already say to your clients.
Do Dailies Studio shorts look like a studio shoot?
No. The picture is that of your webcam, reframed vertically on whoever is speaking, with animated captions and, if you want, a backdrop behind you. What you lose in image, you gain in naturalness: you are answering someone instead of reciting.
Do I need to prepare anything before a call?
No. You hold your call as usual, in Chrome, and start the recording. Telling your guests the call is recorded is up to you. Dailies Studio then spots the passages to keep, cuts the silences and hesitations, and offers you up to eight shorts.
Do my clients appear in the shorts?
One switch blurs your guests and disguises their voice in all your shorts; on a new account, it is on from the start. A short mostly shows you, explaining. Nothing is published without you: you watch every short before you plan it.
Your next call already holds your next shorts.
